Sheehy Ford of Marlow Heights Helps Combat Poverty

At Sheehy Ford of Marlow Heights, our local community and the people living in it are incredibly important to us. Whenever we get the opportunity to help those in our backyard we jump at it! One of our biggest initiatives this past year was our donation to United Communities Against Poverty, during the Sheehy Auto Stores’ Annual Giving Campaign. We donated $5,000 to this non-profit to help those who are down on their luck in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

United Communities Against Poverty or UCAP is a non-profit organization based out of Prince George’s County, MD whose mission is to mitigate poverty by providing assistance and resources to people experiencing poverty. They provide housing services, crisis care, case management, transformative education, emergency food pantry services, assistance for the homeless, child care and after school programs, job training, job placement, emergency rent mortgage and utility assistance and so much more! They’re ultimate goal is to eliminate poverty and help people experiencing homelessness and poverty become self-sufficient. We couldn’t be more happy that we’ve been able to help and support this amazing organization.
